Setting off from Footscray Station, a ride that follows Maribyrnong River Trail. We'll stop off before we make the trail with coffee/brunch at Footscray Arts Centre, then ride alongside the broad flowing waters of the river and occasionally bridging islands in the stream. Our route takes us up to the vantage point of Lily Street Lookout, Essendon West, with its grand view sweeping Southeast to West over Melbourne. Lunch will be at Middle Child Café in Ascot Vale and depending on what's on, we might even drop in on Incinerator Gallery, just off the east bank of the trail in Aberfeldie.
