Starting from Craigieburn Station and ending at Jacana station.
From Craigieburn the route meanders down Broadmeadows Valley and then West to the par where landscapes and wildlife not much changed since the 19th Century. The park has a 150-year old homestead, Indigenous canoe trees, native woodland and grassland.
Unsealed roads and tracks will take us through the fenced 'Back Paddock' where kangaroos, birds and other wildlife may be seen. From Woodlands it's on to trails over to Moonee Ponds Creek Trail and then to finish at Jacana railway Station.
There's a good chance we’ll encounter some Eastern Grey Kangaroos and some bunnies. According to Parks Victoria ‘you may also see echidnas, skinks and Eastern Blue-tongue lizards basking in the sun’.
This ride includes a variety of surfaces so knobby tires are definitely recomended. Not a ride for a road bike at all!
